Hello and welcome to my personal site. This website is my repository for long-form personal and professional information about myself and my family, as well as ideas and thoughts too long or detailed to post on social media accounts. Any opinions conveyed on this site are strictly personal and not part of my professional responsibilities.
Personally, I am married to my incredibly smart and beautiful wife Christi, and together we have two amazing kids in Anna and Patrick; we live in Houston. On this site is a a post with more details on our family. Although I love living in Houston, my interests mostly center around getting out of Houston and into the outdoors. When I can, I love taking the kids backpacking and meeting my brothers up for ski trips. As a family, we’ve explored many national parks, as well as some truly incredible resorts. Locally, I am active with the SPJST Lodge 88 (Audit Committee!) and with my son Patrick’s Scout troop. Some of the content on this site will hit on my interests.
Professionally, I work in as an Originator for Suncor, which is essentially a business development function for our energy trading platform. I’ve held roles in equity options trading, energy deal structuring and origination, and clean tech with, respectively, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup, and Xpansiv CBL. I am a graduate from the University of Virginia (BS Commerce), and the Booth Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago (MBA).
Over the course of my career, I have touched a great deal of the energy sector – from gas to power, and oil to refined products – and I’ve been on the ground witnessing many of the remarkable changes happening as society tackles the externality of climate change. I plan on posting some long-form thoughts around the carbon transition, from the perspective of a long time participant in the energy trading space.
Thank you for visiting, and feel free to connect with me through this site or any of my social accounts.
